I was always known to have high energy and for years I was continuously misunderstood by my teachers. I dealt with bullying and peer pressure. I was the student that was constantly involved in physical fights and received multiple disciplinary suspensions. Teachers and staff didn’t know how to handle me, and so they falsely labeled me an ADHD student. Once I moved to Long Island, I had the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. This changed my life because I realized I could channel my energy to inspire others. I became a team captain, youth leader and mentor for local organizations embodying my core values, accountability, consistency, and discipline.
