This role included long term assignments as expert in Information management at business and technical levels in customers strategic projects for business and IS development. Major areas concern Air Force C4 systems, Architecture frameworks for the defense and major efforts in development of technology and information management for network centric operations.From this experience I was assigned to represent SAAB in the creation and establishment of a European network for Security Research addressing EU Research programs - IMG-S .

The major engagement was in the project "Service Oriented Business Models for ERP" - a three year project sponsored by Vinnova (Swedish Research Sponsor). The project investigated emerging SERVICE ORIENTED Business Models on the Swedish market for ERP system. Twenty international and national partners from users, consultants and ERP vendors participated. Major findings are organized according to Osterwalder BMO and should be of interest for any consumer, intermediary or supplier of "information as a service" rather than" Buy your toolkit" approaches.Also I acted as coordinator of SANTE - Swedish (Scandinavian) Academic Network for Teaching Enterprise Systems.CBS developed an on-line environment for students including runtime versions of several popular ERP-system - for educational purposes. The idea is that Business School and IS/IT students are to be provided a real life experience of ERP system to investigate throughout their education. Several Swedish universities and international ERP vendors are queuing for access to CBS.

In 1990 I was accepted as industrial PhD student at the department of Information Management, shared between University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. In parallel to working in long commitments with customers strategic IS projects I pursued PhD studies in Information systems Architecture and contemporary IT- Management theories and practices. Beside studies, I also took an interest in teaching students in Information Systems Development - from a practitioners perspective.My Thesis and exam as Licentiate in Philosophy (first level researcher exam in Sweden) was achieved in 1999.

This episode started with a three year assignment in development of framework, method and tool chains supporting industrial scale of development of software products and systems. Starting in Object Oriented architectures and concepts, five Swedish companies committed to critical software systems quality, developed an industry fit framework partly by testing ideas in three application examples. This research journey led me to enter an industrial PhD path including two more three year projects in industrial scale systems development (SEMLA) and in management of coordinated business and IS development in complex organizations (DELTA).In parallel to research I was trusted with a role as Information Architect and Information Management pioneer in one of the defense's strategic enterprise and IS development efforts. Four years developing pragmatic system-of-systems level Information Management in the Method and Development centre and two years directly supporting the technical development manager at Headquarters.
