I have spent the past 27 years working in mathematics and science education development, the last 12 in senior management. In my roles as Deputy Director and Director of CASME, I was responsible for operations management and financial sustainability of CASME. This focus included monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, fundraising and income generation initiatives amongst others.Now, with VVOB education for development, as Strategic Education Advisor, I am helping the South Africa programme team reimagine professional development using online and blended modalities.I also serve in a number of voluntary advisory positions, including on the Board of the National Association of Social Change Entities in Education (NASCEE), the Digital Learning Forum, the KwaZulu-Natal Reading Coalition, the KZN Human Resource Development Council's Standing Committee on STEAM, and the Durban University of Technology's Community Engagement Committee. When I am not working I enjoy reading historical fiction, idling in my garden, being in the company of my partner Dean, a small circle of friends and four dogs (Jet, Molly, Sadie and Fynn).
