Coming into college, I was not sure about exactly what I wanted to do, but after being exposed to several business-oriented courses and involving myself in the fast-paced and competitive nature of the businessenvironment, I have found a calling to combine my passion and interests in the sportsbusiness industry. As a current junior at the Rutgers University-New Brunswick HonorsCollege, I plan on pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in SportsManagement. I have taken many courses that have built my analytical skills and havegiven me the opportunity to learn what it is like to work and succeed in the businessworld. Additionally, sports management-oriented courses have helped me learn how Ican translate my knowledge of business and finance into the larger world of the sports industry. I aspire to work for the largest and most well-known teams, managing their investments, revenues, expenses, and other aspects of that nature. Also, working as a player agent is anotherpath I see myself taking that is not fully aligned with my major.Growing up in New York City has allowed me to meet and interact with thousandsof diverse and unique individuals and build interpersonal skills. I am currently the headwaiter at a face-paced, intense, and bustling NYC restaurant, and the customer serviceindustry has strengthened these interpersonal skills greatly. Additionally, I havedeveloped strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills while serving inthe city. I enjoy challenges, and my competitive nature is something I feel will help meexcel in the workplace. In my spare time, I enjoy finding new music, traveling, playing soccer, exercising, and spendingquality time with my friends and family.
