My role is to lead the company in its turn around plan, find some industrial applications for its Oligosaccharides and return the investors' money in the mid term.

Chryseos is a personal holding company which holds the stakes that I own in different start-ups. It's also the structure that I use to deliver consulting services, including management fees for some of those start-ups.

Created Fireflies Systems which is a company owning a low energy mesh network technology allowing to do indoor localization by zoning with no cabling at all. This company was created to buy the assets from late Fireflies-RTLS that went bankrupt. The key contributor to this technology was part of the founding team.The idea behind this acquisition was to turn around the company and sell it quickly if no obvious (not capital intensive) application was found quickly.We successfully sold the technology to Vizbee-RFID which uses it with its innovative software application allowing to deploy virtually any RFID project. Fireflies Systems technology is now deployed in numerous projects mainly in the US.

2011 Launched a new bio dry cleaning chain in Grenoble area for hopefully expanding elsewhere in the future. Thanks to the upcoming ban on the highly toxic product that is used by most dry cleaning outlets (perchlo), there was an interesting business case in this market which - for lots of other reasons - is also in the early stage of a complete transformation.

Metemis is a spin-off of CEA/LETI.Metemis has developed a new generation of concentration sensors able to measure ion concentration (sodium, calcium, potassium, pH and almost any other ion) as well as larger molecules such as sugars, urea and proteins. Where traditional sensors are bulky and weighty Metemis can fit 6 sensors in a form factor of a big pen. Additionally Metemis sensors have a huge cost advantage and performances are significantly improved, with more stable measurement, less calibration requirement, ability to take the measure in any position…. We are targeting the environmental and the medical markets.

I had been a long time employee at Hewlett-Packard, starting in 1983 and holding various management positions from 1985 to 2009, the most significant one being the start-up of the European Home PC business in 1996. HP business position in this market went from a lagging player in 1996 to clear winner and #1 player when I left in 2009.I have been deeply involved in Supply chain management and logistics activities and was one of the players of the HP-Compaq merger in 2002, member of the clean room that took place before the merger and responsible for the supply chain strategy of the combined PC organizations.
