My job description included looking after the Director's diary, organising and rescheduling meetings and their travel arrangements as appropriate and I frequently liaised with MPs and Government departments.I also looked after the department's budgets, holiday and sickness forms, collated their expenses, minuted the Executive Committee meetings which were held six times a year, uploaded and edited articles on the REC's web-site and organised a two day REC Board visit to Brussels to meet with MEPs.In July 2006 I was promoted to work for the CEO and apart from the traditional PA duties, my role included organising the dates of the REC Board meetings as well as doing the administration and collating papers, minuting the weekly Management Team meetings and I set up the customer care function to get members’ feedback on a monthly basis on the services that REC provides to its members.
