Verification (together with the vendor) that the chipset is fulfilling Nokia requirements, quality, guidelines, and that it is suitable for high volume production. Ensure that Nokia is using fewer resources than normally to implement a new chipsetResults:• Well-functioning cooperation internally, with remote team and with vendor (US+DK)• Less resources used in Nokia than with traditional way of working• Introduced a well-functioning chipset, that is in use in several Nokia phones – total volume around 100 million • Targets for power consumption clearly achieved• Critical upgrade to new charging standard achieved without delay to projectsElectro-mechanics Project Leader (Nokia)Responsibilities:Responsible for 3 teams: Antenna (cellular and Bluetooth), audio (electrical, acoustic and DSP tuning) and UI HW (display developed to phone, light, magnetic opening of fold phone and camera system)Ensuring project plans were aligned with the overall project, necessary resources available from stream. Negotiating resources with stream when project was changing – and when stream resources needed to change. Ensuring good cooperation internally in stream, and with project member’s form other streams. BaseBand technical and reliability expert (Nokia)Responsibilities:Be active in establishing a functional network with Nokia’s worldwide BaseBand technical experts, share knowledge of new components, requirements and newly discovered faults – and good ideas. I reviewed all projects in CPH, plus on other sites when needed. Through the method of review, learning designers good practices in reliable design, and methods to improve reliable design. Give technical support, and help get contacts to other expertsResults:• Significant drop in failure rates in phones reviewed – especially for ”known errors”• Uncertainty by project managers lowered; they could now get expert opinion from independent expert• The designers got a boost in their way of thinking quality into the design, reuse of known good solutions improved and ”reuse” of known errors and unreliable design dropped• Worked as a ”Human Database” with solutions and contact persons. The designers knew they could always ask me, and if I was not able to answer, I could get a name of someone who could

Responsibilities:As a newcomer to Nokia, I started with the technical responsibility for memory,- energy-management and EMC/ESD components on the 6210 project. The most important task was however EMC/ESD, where I had to challenge the global practice in Nokia to get a reliable solution that could also work in mass productionResults:• Part of the team that made important phones like 6210, 6310, 3510 and 3510i• Good relations to suppliers of important components• Designed EMC solutions, that was used in nearly all the following Nokia phones due to their benefits in price and performance• Big role in the design of the first mobile in the world with only single-side mounting of components – with high reduction of manufacturing cost and factory investments as a big result

Responsibilities:Development of HW parts to burglar alarms for high security areas (banks as an example), development of HW and SW to the worlds most advanced remote metering device for district heating with text display, data logging and outdoor reading. Interface to external print layout house and to approval institute for district heat metering device.
