The Ocean Quest was a laboratory for young and likeminded ocean entrepreneurs, with the aim to catalyze the development and implementation of new, scalable business solutions that contribute to the protection, restoration and sustainable use of the oceans. To do so, the Ocean Quest merges the two worlds of marine conservation and entrepreneurship by mobilizing, connecting, training and coaching these ocean entrepreneurs. Members include an international selection of talented researchers, policymakers and businessmen and -woman with a track-record, a passion for the ocean and/or entrepreneurship and a strong commitment to create positive impact. Our commitment is to develop scalable impact ventures for healthy oceans, while developing ourselves as healthy entrepreneurs. Members are selected and invited by our warm network of Ocean Quest senior members: established marine entrepreneurs in the broadest sense of the word, who are committed to expand the community of ocean oriented change makers. Together we aim to work on the most pregnant and cross-cutting ocean challenges of our lifetime, especially issues that are not picked up (anymore) by already established organizations, for whatever reason. In addition to great ideas, this journey requires that we continuously develop our skillset. Our laboratory provides a relevant and fun playground for that. Being infinitely curious is more important to us, than having all the answers, which we do not claim to have at all. We have a taste for experimentation and adventure in order ‘to build the boat while sailing’. That is why we foster a strict no asshole policy’- egos go overboard.

Stichting Verbeter de Wereld (Change the World Foundation) support individuals and groups with putting their ideals into practice by means of training and coaching.

Edukans supports basic education in developing countries and involves the Dutch education in international development cooperation. Togetthere is the youth exchange program of Icco and Kerk in Actie. The aim is to facilitate a common network for Dutch youth who want to be actively involved in International Development Cooperation.
