At the same time I worked other places I spent 1/3 of my time managing and teaching courses at DTU Environment, Technical University of Denmark:- Environmental Engineering in Developing Countries. A 5 ECTS course where the students worked in groups with a rural case village in Africa or Asia. They designed technical improvements to the water supply, sanitation and hygiene situation and wrote an application (Danida/CISU format) for how to implement a development project in the village. In 2015 lectures were recorded for use in the course and as OER.- Environmental Management in the Tropics. A 10 ECTS course that covered development projects, identification, design, management, financing, implementation and evaluation within environmental areas of rural and urban water suppli and sanitation and industrial water and wastewater management. Since 2005, in addition to regular DTU students the course was also made available online to students at distance in Latin America, Africa and Asia through video conferencing and flipped classroom approaches. In autumn 2015 the course was redesign to Global Environmental Management and had also a MOOC part of it. After 2015 the course was stopped, but the MOOC is stavailable at coursera.org.
