Appointed in a global leadership role by a €700M turnover international outdoor business, I directed a strong global security team of five and established lean, efficient operations across stores in the USA, Europe and Asia.Major achievements included professionalisation and automation of critical security areas, establishing a data-driven approach with new systems that drove major gains in efficiency, cost and quality of security provision.Raising awareness among cross-functional teams, I improved control of travel security and clarified key areas of risk by partnering with experts in payment platforms, forensic analysis software, cyber security, and threat intelligence.

In 2017, I was hired by this €7 BN retail chain with 400+ stores, then promoted through regional leadership positions to own profit protection for Europe, directing a team of 15 and playing a central role on the regional leadership team.Highlights included creating a robust new asset protection function from scratch for Northern Europe, achieving a significant reduction in overall loss for UK South and pioneering transformational change across the Europe profit protection function as a whole, which halved overall total loss.

Over the course of two years with this international American fashion retailer, I turned around the performance of an investigations function across 11 high-footfall stores in Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands and Sweden. Much of my success came from establishing robust processes, as well as coaching inexperienced staff to rapidly improve skills, and influencing behavioural change among retail leaders.
