My main expertise stems from limnology and biological restoration of streams and rivers in a landscape perspective, with great emphasis on land–water interactions. I am educated in ecology at Stockholm and Umeå University, but also in visual communication at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design in London (UK) where I have a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design. Prior to moving into restoration ecology, I ran a Stockholm and London based design firm for 12 years, working for a wide range of international clients. Before joining Rewilding Europe as Team Leader for their Swedish initiative in October 2022 I worked as a river restoration coordinator at a local municipality as well as an ecology consultant with focus on running waters and wetlands at a Swedish consulting firm. Devotion and goal orientation permeates all I do, and my engagement and passion for biodiversity, environmental issues and nature restoration are firmly rooted. I have never felt bound to one certain place, rather the opposite – living and working in different environments have sparked an interest in seeing and experiencing different cultures which includes being exposed to different ways of thinking and problem solving. This extends to also being able to better understand people of different backgrounds. I grew up in southern Sweden and now reside in the north. I have lived 5 years in London, 6 months in Lisbon, and have worked professionally on an international scene since 2004.
