- Responsible for mine operations, mine planning and exploration, leading the processes maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, meeting cost, quality, tonnage requirements.- Development of projects related to productivity improvement, enhancement of product quality and operational control.- Established a long-term business plan for the mining operation, integrated with refinery, managing the adherence to the strategic plan.- Liaise with government and community groups building strong relationships in line with business strategies.- Review of Emergency Management and Contractor Management, using ISO9k and ISO14k standards.- Established the location development and succession plan for all direct and indirect employees.- Costs kept under control in lower production scenario, in line with global bauxite costs.- Obtainment of two mining permits in record time, less than 60% of average time.

- Operational role leading the mine planning team and supporting operations, in order to meet the Annual plan development and budgeting- Designed an asset optimization pathway for shorten the distance between the mines and refinery in 40%.- Mine long term planning ensuring equipment utilization, productivity and cost.- Customer point of contact (Refinery Technical Department).- Bauxite transportation contract monitoring, fleet sizing support.- Haul Truck Protocol management, improving safety standards through a global team program.- DNPM reports (Mineral Government Agency), supporting environmental licensing process.- Improvements in KPIs controls and schedules of long-term planning, creation of economic benefit function that allowed to measure the value of each block.

- Short term planning (MineSight).- Support mining KPI analyses.- Drilling planning and coordination.- Grade control and reconciliation.- Reserves and Resources reports.- Improvement in the interface between mining and refinery, using Alcoa business system to support improvements and ensure a better reconciliation process, that reduced the reported grades issues by less than 10%.
