Overheden kunnen hierover bij dit platform terecht met hun vragen en over het beheer ervan. Hier vindt men onder meer passende informatie en advies aan de hand van ervaringen van collega-overheden en ‘best practices’ over bijvoorbeeld inventarisatie, taxatie en het opschonen van kunstcollecties. Publicafa organiseert hiernaast samenwerking met diverse instellingen en vakmensen die gewenste diensten op een hoog kwalitatief niveau kunnen uitvoeren en zal hiermee tevens als intermediair gaan fungeren tussen overheden en uitvoerende dienstverleners. -

To make visitors reflect on their sacrifice for peace and freedom and, in so doing, to stimulate them to contribute to a tolerant and respectful society. The MMCF wants to express this mission, in close symbiosis with the Margraten American Cemetery, by: • telling the personal stories of the soldiers buried in Margraten; • establishing a permanent exhibition to illustrate these stories, in which the visitor can go into as much depth as he wants; • organizing regular temporary exhibitions on related themes; • organizing lectures, seminars, workshops, musical performances, etc. on subjects related to the mission. • creating a meditation room in which visitors can come to terms with their own experiences; • nourishing the relationship between the region and its neighboring countries; • strengthening the relationship with the adopters of the graves.The MMCF would like to do this in a modern way that appeals to both young and old. As an unforgettable experience. And in a building that is both remarkable and yet fits the ideas to be expressed. In the outside area in the immediate vicinity of the Memorial Center there could also be facilities for bigger events that are very important to society such as: • Limburg Remembrance Day, May 4th; • Memorial Day (last Sunday in May); • the Limburg Symphony Orchestra’s “Liberation & Memorial Concert” (2nd Sunday of September); • the Dutch – American Veterans Day.The MMCF would like to work out the exact details of the center with representatives from the United States and celebrated professionals such as a storyboard writer, architect, multi-media specialist, interior designer and others.
