Metem is a specialized machining supplier. My duties and responsibilities included the overall management of the manufacturing area. This included developing and maintaining training plans for new employees, daily scheduling of the shop floor, working with production control to meet customer delivery requirements, working with purchasing and engineering to develop new material suppliers and working with quality control to maintain and improve product quality. Accomplishments included:The implementation of Lean manufacturing practices on the shop floor.Development of visual scheduling tools for the manufacturing areas.

Howmet Castings Dover Site is a $120 to $160 million aerospace manufacturer.; Duties and responsibilities included management of purchasing and inventory for all manufacturing materials. This included management and supervisory responsibility for the Receiving, Stores, Packing and Shipping areas. Responsibility for Import/Export compliance; and Traffic and Logistics for a multi-site manufacturing facility. Accomplishments included:The utilization of VMI and Consignment inventory programs to reduce inventory costs.Maintained reorder points and min/max quantitiesCreated and maintained BOM's in MRP and WMS.Responsible for Supplier Management, including the issuance of quarterly supplier report cards. Developed and maintained a cycle count procedure using the A, B, C inventory classification system. Project Lead, Order Management and Supply Chain Business Systems Responsibilities included all aspects of project management for the implementation of the Oracle Enterprise Business System, Purchasing, Order Management and Supply Chain Management systems, including data management, training and reporting project progress to plant and corporate senior management.Project Lead, MRO Stores Outsourcing Responsibilities included management for the outsourcing of the MRO stores area, including data management, user training and Supplier Liaison responsibilities.
