Assisting Accountant with anything required from getting information on a client by their folder or on the system or print off required details from the payroll such as Pension summary or PAYE details. My main role was to type up the Client’s Accounts paperwork and VAT paperwork on excel. This would include purchase invoices, expenses, commission, income and bank statements. Chasing clients to bring in paperwork as well as managing payroll which included over 50 clients. My payroll duties included completing payroll for clients daily such as emailing/printing pay slips with P32 and any additional documents such as P45. Add new employees and make leavers, add any attachment of earnings and any additional request from employers. I would sometimes help and guide the client to pay their PAYE online through the Government website.As there was insufficient staff, I had to also cover reception sometimes which included answering phones calls, greeting clients, informing the Accountant the client has came for their appointments, booking in paperwork brought in and book appointments for clients.

Dealing with preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns for different sizes and types of business. Processing purchases invoices, sales invoices and bank statements. Reconciling clients bank accounts, credit cards and other accounts. Maintaining, reconciling and controlling purchases and sales ledgers. Preparing and submit CIS Return, including verifying subcontractors on HMRC. Advising clients of VAT and CIS payments. Completion of payment runs for Clients.Processing payroll and pensions for 20 companies with more than 40 staff at different frequencies. Dealing with statutory including Tax, NI, Student Loan and Attachment of earning order. Associated Auto Enrolment duties with Nest. Advising clients of PAYE payments. Providing year end information including P60s. Reports and journal for payrolls. Handling enquiries from client.
