At my current job as a project estimator role at Goodworks Project (a shop-fitting company), in which I started in 2019, I gather and collect information from architectural drawings of a particular job, such as restaurants, retail shops etc, through measurements and calculations, and then assign a price for various items required for the job according to their categories (e.g. joinery, electrical etc.), both material and labour costs. I also communicate with suppliers of materials for quoting, and contractors to quote a price for specialized items e.g. trellis doors, stone benchtops, upholsteries etc.In my guitar teaching job at Discovery Art & Music (from May 2017 till present), with my enthusiasm in music and in the instrument, I assist students in developing their skills on the guitar, arousing their interests in learning the instrument, and music in general. Also, because of my knowledge in music theory, as well as my completion of Grade 8 in AMEB piano in 2008, I help my students to understand music theory in order to allow them to understand the more advanced musical concepts, not just the guitar.I've also helped a student in passing several AMEB Rockschool Guitar exams, by weekly tuition and assistance in their performance pieces, technical abilities and understanding of music theory.Other than the AMEB Grade 8 piano qualification I mentioned earlier, I also have a qualification in AMEB Rockschool myself - Grade 7 in Electric Guitar, achieved in November 2019.I am now pursuing a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) degree at UNSW (February 2023), majoring in Music, in order to not only further enhance my skills in teaching music, but also finding my feet as a music teacher.
