As Assistant Head of School for Advancement & Chief Development Officer, Henry oversees Virginia Episcopal School’s fundraising, admission, branding, and communications strategies, alumni and parent engagement, internal and external events, and the school’s Hight Family Archives. He also serves as a member of the VES leadership team. Henry served previously as VES’ Director of Development (2017-2021) and Director of Major Gifts (2014-2017). Under Henry’s leadership, VES’ Advancement Office has raised $65 Million, doubled the annual fund, doubled alumni and parent giving, and quadrupled The VES Endowment & Trust. Henry is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lynchburg. He has served in volunteer fundraising capacities for Camps Sea Gull and Seafarer, the University of Virginia, the Jubilee Family Development Center, and the Corporation for Jefferson’s Poplar Forest. Henry has served on the volunteer Boards of Directors for Preservation Chapel Hill, the Jubilee Family Development Center, and the Corporation for Jefferson’s Poplar Forest as well as the 75th anniversary and philanthropy committees for Camps Sea Gull and Seafarer.
