Manage control of the college’s Police Department and resources to maintain adequate security coverage for six campuses. Ensures compliance with laws that the department and its officers have the authority to enforce. Functions include maintaining key access to physical plants, supporting parking enforcement, daily reporting of incidents of note to superiors, maintaining contact and reporting procedures with Student Life Coordinators and Title IX Coordinator, reporting hazardous situations to Risk Management, reporting all UCR crimes to local authorities, and quarterly report submission to LCLE.

Provided quality security and safety service necessary to ensure that hotel property, employees and guests are protected against theft, crimes and threats.

Promoted to the rank of police Captain and assigned to the Policy and Review Bureau to review, revamp, revise and develop policies for the New Orleans Police Department, along with developing several special projects for the Superintendent of Police. Supervised, trained and directed the activities of police officers, in compliance with department policies, regulations and standards. Led workforce management to include recruiting, hiring and training staff and investigating and resolving personnel issues. Performed administrative functions by preparing reports, maintaining and directing departmental record-keeping, developing budgets and reviewing budget requests.Promoted to Police Commander, with a permanent rank of Captain, and served as Commander of the Third Police District from 06/2009 –01/2012.Led the Major Case Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence units in the New Orleans Police Department starting in 01/2012.Closely collaborated with the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness for the City of New Orleans in the preparation and revision of Homeland Security Region 1 goals and objectives.Formed a Street Gang Unit and a Multi-Agency Gang unit in 11/2012, to identify, track and dismantle gangs that consistently contributed to the murder and violence in the City of New Orleans, from gang related homicides and other crimes of violence.Acted as the Commander of the Management Services Division and oversaw and assisted in maintaining status of City buildings and current building projects in process.Oversaw the Police Department's record room and the dissemination of documents under public records requests.Studied crime reports to determine trends and develop staffing plans to handle the workload, develop plans for crime reduction, to allocate manpower and directed patrols.
