Main purpose of the role was to build and establish a research team to secure institutional business. Central to the role was to facilitate interaction between analysts and clients to build lasting and mutually beneficial relationships. These included regular analyst Road shows, corporate access through breakfasts, lunches and seminars.As economist I provided economic research and commentary to internal and external clients via various media and platforms. I also regularly visited clients to present various economic topics and views.As EXCO member I was involved in strategy formulation and implementation.Operations/Compliance. I was responsible for the company’s compliance in terms of the company’s JSE and FSB licences.Thebe Investment Corporation SMME Mentorship Programme. I was closely involved in this initiative to mentor management of SMME’s on various business disciplines, including management, strategy, finance, marketing, HR etc.

Economist (Money and Banking, Balance of Payments)Main responsibilities:- Statistics. Compile and prepare tables to be captured on database for publication in the SARB Quarterly Bulletin. Statistics include money supply, private sector credit extension, credit cards, exchange rates- Publications. Provide input for text section of the SARB Quarterly Bulletin. Articles in SARB QB and well as a number of internal memorandums on topical issues- Enquiries. Provide statistical information internally and externally as requested
