A regular project meant meeting with a customer to discuss the details of their desired custom automated machine, design and documentation of parts and assemblies, and working with manufacturing to ensure quality and improve on future designs.

I worked in new product development with a heavy focus on end user satisfaction. I worked across the entire organization to acquire parts, increase assembly efficiency, test components, and improve designs. Towards the end of my employment I began working on ways to improve internal efficiency including updates to modeling practices, consolidation of parts databases, and development of engineer training program.

I was contracted with Manitowoc Cranes to update product designs and documentation for the improvement of quality during manufacturing processes and customer usage. I also assisted in the documentation and design of new products through the use of ProEngineer Wildfire(precursor to PTC Creo). I worked directly with the assemblers on the manufacturing floor to streamline the assembly process. On occasion I work directly with suppliers to improve parts and kits that come into the facility.
