About Henry Gilbert

I am an embedded firmware engineer with experience in the aviation and DoD industries. My current work involves software maintenance of inertial aviation systems and development of new products for use in military and civilian airplanes. I strive to push the aviation industry forward. Our industry is by no means technologically obsolete, but we have much room for growth and innovation, and my goal is to be a part of that change.

    At Robins AFB, I was responsible for maintenance of a virtual C130 desktop application that mimicked the navigator's control panel. Using this software, C130 navigators could effectively train from any PC. I maintained customer contact with the 714th ABW in Little Rock AK to develop testable requirements, made software changes based on these requirements, performed in house testing, and managed the repository for software releases. On top of this, I performed general SIL maintenance, including reading wiring diagrams, changing out VME/PCIE components, troubleshooting LRU defects, LRU replacement, backing up source code, and maintaining virtual instruments.
