I am assisting NC State BTEC, under the direction of Dr. Gary Gilleskie, with developing a gene therapy processing short-course. My duty is to complete process development activities for ultrafiltration in adeno-associated viral (AAV) vector gene therapy. The main goal of my study is to ensure a quality written protocol for an ultrafiltration step is completed.

Provided support for the metals and ceramics material engineering laboratory at the Fleet Readiness Center East in Cherry Point. Duties included cutting aircraft samples, staging and polishing samples, and performing hardness test, tensile strength tests, and etching for overtemperature analysis by following SOPs. Trained for chemical hygiene, laboratory safety, and radiation safety.
