I work within the Ethics Team at BDO UK LLP. I am responsible for making ethical judgements and consultation responses to make sure that the firm applies the highest ethical standard. The Ethics Function is responsible for making sure BDO meets all the Financial Reporting Council requirements as well as applying the correct and appropriate international standards for all our work. To enable me to do this, I have a good grasp of the FRC ethical standard (existing and proposed changes) and the ICAEW and IESBA codes of ethics.As part of the Ethics Function I aim to deliver a first class service to BDO people in respect to personal independence and independence matter connected to their clients.I also volunteer on a weekly basis running an Explorer Sea Scout Unit in Southampton. This includes running week nights and planning and taking the young people to Camps throughout the year.
