Responsibility for the wellbeing of a fleet of 20-25 seismic ships including their everyday running, classification, legal requirements, stability, upgrades and concept studies for future projects.• Several design projects for new builds and vessel upgrades • Liaison with class societies and flag state• Successful roll-out of compliance with new rules and regulations• Consulting with DnVGL to help create new regulations and standards • On site project management; upgrades and repairs• QHSE responsibility for the fleet support group and carrying out audits

Responsible for providing design, analysis and engineering solutions for a wide range of vessels including: Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSO), Offshore Supply vessels, chemical tankers, passenger ferries, fishing vessels, and the design of a High Speed Catamaran Ferry.• Worked on many marine design projects covering all aspects of naval architecture from concept design, through to detailed engineering analyses and submission to Class for approval• Projects involving the above vessel types has given me an in depth knowledge of a wide variety of vessels and experience with the rules and regulations of several governing bodies including Lloyds, DNV, IMO and SOLAS.

Fastlane was a company formed to construct a high speed catamaran for the purpose of transporting fresh fish from Norway to Holland and flowers and vegetables from Holland to Norway• For a period of three years I was working to build this company and was involved in finding and recruiting suitable personnel to carry out the various necessary roles and for identifying potential partners and investors including logistics companies and port facilities.

Enrolled on Vosper Thorneycroft’s RINA approved graduate training scheme I worked as a naval architect assisting in the management, construction and outfitting of a 50m fibreglass mine hunter vessel for the Royal Navy
