Real time temperature, voltages monitoring, and fan speed control. • Established the dominant position in the market of tally controllers.Designed openGear Card:• Designed general purpose input/output card with Opto-coupler input, and relay contact output. • Designed ARM processor interface. Gigabit Ethernet network interface, TCP/IP programming. CAN bus driver. Card ID and slot ID detection. HD tri-level video sync inputs. USB ISP. Card power consumption monitoring. JTAG debugger port. DashBoard interface. • Worked with Ross Video engineers for board layouts, and Ethernet debugging. Designed Multiviewer Systems:• The project received NAB2008 Pick Hit Award for its technical achievements. • Displayed all 4 to 16 SD/HD/3G SDI inputs, and audio bars on one LCD screen. HDMI and HD/3G SDI outputs.• Designed backplane SerDes, LVDS RX and TX. PLL video/audio clock generator. Spartan audio processor and Virtex video processor. ColdFire microprocessor interface. DDR2 memory interface, 10/100 Base-T network interface.• Developed the video DSP algorithms that lead the competition. • Designed schematics. Coded FPGA in VHDL. Developed C device drivers and test software. Supervised the PCB layout. Coordinated PCB production in China. • Worked with Gennum FAE for the ASIC debug. Performed EMI trouble shooting.Designed Intelligent LCD Keys Controller:• Responded quickly to the FOX TV feedbacks, the product was a market-first solution.• Designed the ARM interface to graphic LCD keys. Coded SPI with DMA device driver.Designed Under Monitor Displays:• Developed the low cost, better quality LED dot matrix chips with 60% cost reduction. • Designed Spartan FPGA LED driver in VHDL.
