As an after-hours engineer, I performed multiple roles to support 24/7 operations. My main responsibility was to monitor our customers systems for alarms, then to troubleshoot and diagnose any issues while maintaining SLA’s, and maintain communication with our customers throughout the whole process. This requires quick decision making and an independent drive to resolve issues as resources and escalation is limited after-hours. As most of my time was spent after-hours, I needed to learn the multiple systems quickly with minimal formal training. Most of my experience and development came from searching technical documents and keeping meticulous notes on new solutions I came across, as well as actively seeking new learning opportunities from more experienced engineers.I was required to communicate with both technical and non-technical people, both internally and externally, to push issues and problems to resolution. This usually meant diagnosing root causes of reoccurring problems and working with Tier 3 engineers to create a resolution plan, as well as tracking the cases to ensure the plan was carried out successfully.Due to a very sparse initial training, I made sure to help new engineers with learning the systems and procedures. I would use any down time to show new systems and was always prepared to help whenever they would run into issues as readily as I pursued training for my own development. As well as hands-on training, I made my personal notes freely available to all the other engineers.There was very little manager supervision after-hours and I could be very self-motivated to stay on task and keep productive with little to no management. As the senior engineer on my shift, I worked hard to keep the other engineers engaged and make sure work was completed swiftly with no errors. This required good interpersonal skills to help everyone to promote a good working relationship in the office.

I have been a steady referee the whole time and have never missed and am very rarely late for a game. My job calls for someone who is reliable, able to work in any number of hardships, supervise the game and make important decisions which affect the whole outcome of the game, as well as how my referee crew and myself are perceived in the future. Also, I learned to schedule myself well enough to adequately do my job even when undergoing troubles or problems, and deal with angry fans and players in a calm and collected manner, no matter what the arguments or problems are.

I work as a floor sales associate and tech in store. My duties include both helping customers on the floor with any technology questions, as well as diagnosing and repairing any customer computers and laptops. I work mostly with windows based computers and software, but have some experience working with apple and chrome devices as well.

Worked at the help desk in library and the Tech center helping students and staff if they had any problems with either software or hardware. Worked mostly with Windows OS and programs, as well as any online resources that the students needed help with. I also was responsible for taking care of the printers and any technical problems that could be easily fixed. Anything I could not fix myself would be reported to the main IT department.
