1. Computer hardware maintenanceThis was done by visiting company sections such as the way bridge and did the computer cleaning and replacing old computer parts.2. Network cables installationMainly we installed phone cables to the offices such as the stores section offices and connecting them to the adapter (Phone changer unit).3. Computer repairWe did this by replacing internal and external broken down parts of the computers in different offices. Mostly this work was carried out in the ICT support room.4. JDE (JD Edwards) software maintenanceThis was done by attending to the staffs’ JDE application, compatibility of the web browser to the application was mostly the problem.5. OS (operating system) installation and configurationWe did this by installing operating system to the new computers bought for the company, also used the operating system on formatting the already existing computers when we had problems that required formatting.6. Software installation through file serverWe did this by first being lead though the process of accessing the server through the network, the server was a file server which commonly stored software and their installation key. By accessing the server we were able to install software such as office, adobe reader and other applications to the remote computers.7. Printer installation and maintenanceThis was done by mainly adding newly bought printers into the domain so that they can be visible to be used by the company’s staff. We also added the printers to the staff’s computers network so that they can be visible for them to use in their printing.
