As a Quality Control Coordinator, I am responsible for ensuring the construction of rockfill dams meets the highest quality standards. My duties include coordinating borrow sources and material characterizations, identifying required properties of material to be placed, and scheduling hold points for approval prior to placements. I work closely with foremen and third-party testers to ensure that the correct materials are being hauled, tracked, and placed as per Specifications. In addition, I review all test reports issued by third-party testing laboratories and make sure that sampling and testing frequencies are being met.I prepare inspection and test plan checklists and complete various quality reports including daily reports, materials received, quality surveillance, NCR's, RFI's, action items, and compaction logs. I also organize and maintain tracking systems for all quality reports to ensure timely resolution of any issues that arise.I am skilled in coordinating and enforcing contractual responsibilities, contract documents, and resolving disputes.
