My professional journey started in 2005 after completing a 2 years course in Wildlife & Allied Natural Resources Management, then I joined Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), as an Animal Keeper until 2010. In 2010 May, was promoted to a level of a General Head Keepers, position I held until September 2016 when I resigned and joined Dubai Safari Park, UAE, as an Animal Collection Supervisor from October 2016 to November 2019. In December 2019 I joined Worldwide Zoo Consultancy (WZC), to work in one of their project site in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. Working at the Unity Park Zoo as a Zoo curator until May 2021. In March 2022, I took a new job with Riyadh Zoological Garden as a General Zoo Curator until date. Also served as a country coordinator for GCF (Giraffe Conservation Foundation) Uganda project, trained with Zoo Victoria, Australia on rhino welfare and management, worked as a country coordinator for Cincinnati UWEC Rhino Conservation Education Project, from August 2008 to August 2016. In 2010 I attended the first giraffe conference in Phoenix Zoo USA, California and presented a paper on “Outreach Conservation Education in Uganda”, where I was awarded the best outreach conservation education presenter.Main experience in the filed of ex-situ and in-situ conservation education and environmental protection, Staffs training, animal training, zoo designing, animal capture and relocation among others. All together with working experience of 18 years. Hold bachelor degree in environment management science.
