Ever since I was a child I knew exactly what I wanted to do and that was work in sports in some capacity. I first started writing about sports when I was a junior at Richardson High School. I got to cover high-level sporting events in high school including the playoffs for my high school basketball team.From there, I started attending Auburn University and wrote for the Auburn Plainsman. With the Plainsman, I gained experience working around people who had the same goals and ambitions that I do. I learned quickly how to get stories done in a timely manner as there is a print deadline for every story that I write. While with the Plainsman, I have covered many high-level sporting events including Auburn basketball.While writing for the Plainsman, I gained a small following on Twitter where I tweet my coverage of games and also write threads on Auburn sports where I break down Auburn basketball using advanced stats combined with game film. My writing with the Plainsman and my Twitter content was enough for me to get noticed by Auburn Rivals, where I started interning. I hope to use the experience that I gain from this internship to propel me into a career in sports writing.
