Working as an External Communication Manager for World Nuclear Association my role is to engage with a range of stakeholders such as the press and media, policy and decision makers. I provide content for articles, podcasts, video, social media, policy papers and newsletters, as well as organizing events programmes for external engagements like COP and World Nuclear Symposium.After graduating from Queen Mary University of London in 2016 with a Physics degree, I spent 6 years with the National Nuclear Laboratory supporting the UK's Advanced Gas Reactor fleet through post irradiation evaluation of fuel and graphite. During this time, I led several innovation projects and was involved in various company-wide communities of practice. I am also an editor for the Nuclear Institute's Nuclear Future journal and am a chartered physicist through the Institute of Physics. My career highlights include being part of a team that came runners-up in the Spark Contest in 2018, a Franco-British competition for young professionals in the energy sector, winning the National Skills Academy Nuclear (NSAN) Science Graduate of the year in 2019, and facilitating sessions at The Global Forum on Innovation for the Future of Nuclear Energy in South Korea in 2019.
