Inventory Control Specialist
Current· Coordinates the movement of inventory throughout multiple IBJI facilities.· Evaluates the inventory needs of each office and how to efficiently service each location.· Responsible for purchases made to stock the IBJI sites, adding new items, changing existing items, finding appropriate substitutes, and determining reorder points.· Follows up on delivery issues, missed shipments, correct receipt of items, and specialty reports as needed.· Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and purchasing supplies as required to avoid stock-outs.· Determine appropriate inventory level for each item in IBJI, and other units that require additional supply stocking.· Communicate and discuss issues with PAC in a timely manner.· Coordinates disposal of outdated or no use items.· Issues requisitions for needed supplies.· Identifies possible substitute items.· Identifies items to be changed, added, or deleted from inventory.· Processes department requests to add, delete and change items.· Maintains inventory templates. Makes changes to reflect current items in use.· Maintains appropriate records and files.· Work with management to create and adjust new item add policies and procedures· Create various reports· Ensure all products received are correct and on time to meet operational needs.· Establish dependable schedule so that facilities expect your presence· Establishes shelf locations and ensures correct labels are printed and applied in the various inventory locations. Changes locations as conditions warrant.· Decides when and what quantity of supplies to order.· Delivery schedule for stock supplies.· Authorizes substitutions with site approval.· Finds alternative vendor can provide back-ordered supplies.· Communicates problems to the Procurement and Analytics Coordinator· Prioritize ordering of supplies to meet changing patient volumes.· Direct involvement in Product Recall process.
