The Cloud and Connectivity Research team is responsible for reimagining how our products and infrastructure might communicate internally as well as to other products and users. During my time with this team, I have• Created a code generation pipeline for a C based abstraction interface that exposes data, functions, and diagnostics as a virtual file system, allowing for quick iteration on features and scalability to any product or programming language.• Developed a Python based package management system and command line interface for the abstraction interface, allowing for the creation, storage and searching of binaries for specific products by identification number or name.• Integrated the abstraction interface with an experimental product platform and contributed an MQTT message passing system, allowing for local and cloud networked real-time data streams, function requests, and diagnostics.• Developed a set of Python services to integrate with and track the performance of a partnering company’s satellite based communications solution with our vehicles, accelerating the evaluation process of a potential new venture.

The Connected/In-Vehicle Embedded Security team is responsible for investigating, developing and testing possible security solutions, and managing security requirements all in relation to the data being transmitted to and from the vehicle.During my time with this team, I• Led software development, integration, and documentation efforts for the Vehicle Experiments research project, successfully engaging 17 partners and completing six experiments• Developed a C++ based proof of concept vehicle Intrusion Detection System (IDS), designing and implementing a set of algorithms that would inspect the data on the CAN network and report any anomalies.• Implemented the first ever integration of in-vehicle logging systems with the Ford Cyber Security Center, allowing for remote monitoring of anomalous events.• Developed a Node.js based dashboard application, complete with vehicle attack capabilities and streaming statistics, allowing for quick vehicle testing and immersive demonstrations.• Developed a Python based test automation framework around the Codenomicon Defensics fuzz testing platform, allowing for hands-off testing, retrying, logging, and notification (email, text) of results.• Developed a C++ based application to send and receive encoded data packets following an internal protocol, allowing my team to automate the testing process of the protocol on real hardware.

The Pinnacle Account Servicing Mainframe team is a team in Ford Credit responsible for handling the batch processes that effect customer data, account data, vehicle data, and more. As a member of this team I,• Programmed and tested JCL and COBOL program enhancements, fixing production issues and adding newly requested business functionalities.• Analyzed, documented, programmed, and tested various programs following a data convergence effort, accounting for a new database scheme with unicoded values. • Introduced and taught various new tools, driving mainframe modernization and increasing my team's productivity.• Worked on the convergence of a "COBOL to Java on the Mainframe" pilot program.• Redesigned our mainframe email notification system, providing an organized and scalable solution to a once messy process.• Created a job stream that would pull real time program-table bindings, allowing my team leads to understand how our programs interact with our tables and what the impact of any table changes were.• Worked with management to design, maintain and run a monthly forum meeting for employees to share knowledge, helping to establish best practices, solve common problems, and continually coerce a more collaborative environment between teams at the office.

I worked as an Instructional Aide for Engineering 101 with two separate professors during my time at the University of Michigan (Professor Alex Bielajew, Professor Paul Kominsky). As an Instructional Aide, • I held office hours ten hours, or more, a week, helping students with projects, homeworks, concepts and principals having to do with the C++ and Matlab programming languages. • I assisted with grading assignments and exams.

The Rates/Derivatives Rapid Application Development (RAD) team that I was a part of was responsible for creating and maintaining applications for the rates and derivatives traders. During my time with the team, I• Did extensive work with JP Morgan’s Athena Framework, designing and developing small applications for use throughout the Investment Bank. In addition to their back end code, these tools also required GUI code and were implemented using the Enaml framework, as well as WxPython. • Worked with a teammate to design and develop an application that would allow users to watch over files (for size changes, scheduled updates), Reuters Instrument Codes (for stale market data), and URLs (for formatting). • Recreated a dashboard application which originally used Microsoft Excel to display swap futures numbers using several options made available through the Athena Framework and made a recommendation as to which option would be best in the future.
