Leading a delivery team on a wide range of construction projects for key clients including the Ministry of Education, Air New Zealand and the private sector

I currently run a $14m retail and office new build working closely with the developer/client and tenants who will eventually occupy the building.

I run a small team of drainage and water installation personnel who specialise in trenchless technology and open cut trenching. I am responsible for the tendering, resourcing, training and accounting for the South Island Operation reporting directly to the Managing Directors based in Auckland.

Freelance Project Manager working on a variety of projects for both Local Authority and Commercial Clients. Managing large scale refurbishment works in multi storey accommodation for Dundee City Council, a 32 unit social housing project for Waites Living Space, and a 30 unit prestigious country village in Kingsbarns (St Andrews) for Ogilvie Homes. I also engaged in many smaller projects managing new builds and renovation works for private clients and ran a small commercial maintenance service to a variety of clients in the Fife and Edinburgh area

I ran a team responsible for the delivery of several new builds up to $15m in value including new office blocks, commercial premises and the delivery of a bespoke gymnasium complex for the Education Sector. I was then promoted to Project Manager where I successfully ran major new builds and renovations including the award winning Hillcrest Homes Headquarters in Dundee ($16m), major remedial works to existing housing stock and new build schemes for both Dundee City Council and a $7m complex of apartments and townhouses for Home Scotland. I also ran the equipment fleet for the company and was instrumental in driving cost saving measures and effective working practices.

I began a site from greenfield to completion of 64 detached 2 storey timber kit homes and a block of 20 apartments (4 storey timber kit), this included all aspects of the site including civils and landscaping, services and associated infrastructure.

As a Military Plant Foreman I was responsible for the planning and implementation of large scale civil tasks both during peacetime and on live operations. These included Airfield Damage Repair and infrastructure reinstatement, roads, bridges and temporary airfields in support of operations often in austere conditions and at short notice.
