I am currently a 2nd Year Biomedical Science student at Lancaster University, enjoying studying and laboratory work, with interest in securing a placement in an NHS Hospital to help secure my IBMS portfolio.Previous work experience includes working in Hospitality as a Server/Bartender which has developed my communication skills and multitasking. My time as a track and trace caller have given me lots of training in handling sensitive information, safeguarding and interacting with people in an professional manner. Volunteer work has taught me how to work alongside and lead groups of people but also how to interact with younger people and those with mental/physical disabilities to make them feel safe. My current course has developed my interest in Anatomy and Tissue Structure, Genetics, Molecules of Life, Human Physiology, Biotechnology and Biomedicine and Society. I am aiming for a job in an NHS Laboratory once I graduate.
