• Responsible for inventory receipt, maintenance, replenishment, and presentation of merchandise for approx 5,000 SKUs at a national big-box retailer.• Responsible for examining received goods to ensure consistency with quality and quantity specifications. Address receiving issues as needed through appropriate remediation processes. • Maintain store stockroom capacity and organizational guidelines, including recovery of the dock at the end of each shift, completing relevant inventory paperwork and inputting data into inventory management system.• Responsible for maintaining corporate merchandising standards including setting inventory to planogram, asset tagging and staging promotional product to floor. • Assist selling department Associates and Store Management with merchandise placement and relocation on selling floor. Also assist with assembly of fixtures and furniture as needed. • Train other associates on stock plan development, truck unloading procedures, and stocking of merchandise.• Perform other duties as assigned. Examples may include but are not limited to: handling customer inquiries in person or over phone by analyzing their needs and directing to appropriate product or alternative, completing price changes and, preparing for physical inventory.
