Overseeing and leading program operations and strategic initiatives while developing and maintaining partnerships with the communities and Health Systems that we serve.

Responsible for the operations and budget of Duke Life Flight, the Life Flight Communication Center and the air medical contract with the part 135 provider. Implemented multiple cost saving measures within the first two years and developed a business plan to purchase two EC-145's. Worked with American Eurocopter and Metro Aviation for the purchase and interior configuration of the two helicopters. Implemented new electronic PCR and led the team in developing a robust QA system with 100 percent peer review. Started a new BLS service line, purchased longer lasting, more dependable critical care ambulances designed to provide the highest level of care and safety to the crews and patients.

Lead the southeast region in clinical care standards, protocol development, equipment standardization and implemented the national electronic charting system for the organization to include chart development and education to the front line users.

Special Operations Response Team (SORT)NC-1 Disaster Medical Response Team (DMAT)National Medical Response Team (NMRT-East)-specializing in the decontamination and medical treatment for weapons of mass destruction, nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. Including two deployments with the US Secret Service for force protection.
