I am a third-year student at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, pursuing majors in Finance and Accounting, as well as a minor in data analytics. Since I was a little kid, I’ve been intrigued by the field of business, joining investments clubs and seeking as much knowledge as possible from my father. With this interest and a curiosity to learn and understand more, I obtained a summer internship as a Finance and Accounting Intern, where I acquired many soft and technological skills, as I gained experience collaborating/working with others and using excel, access, and PowerPoint. In the classroom, I have extensively explored the field of business, specifically finance, through a heavy load of business-oriented classes and extracurriculars. By taking a variety of business classes I have developed a solid, well-rounded base of knowledge of which I am passionate about expanding upon. Outside of business, I’ve attained many key skills through playing baseball and soccer throughout my life. I credit my participation in these sports to my humility and focus/importance on being a team player in all aspects of life. Another impactful extracurricular was my involvement in tutoring underprivileged kids in the city of Chicago. Bringing smiles and happiness to those such grateful and kind kids was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life, which is representative of my empathetic and compassionate traits. In College, I hope to continue to foster my curiosity in the topics that interest me and grow more as an individual. Through my past experiences, I have established a serious passion for business. In the future, I hope to combine this passion with the skills I’ve developed in a position at a company that enables me to succeed, and which further strengthens my passion and interest in the field of business. Preferably in Chicago, and where I can work with a group to help make business and financial decisions for companies or individuals.
