About Henry Bair

Henry Bair is a resident physician at Wills Eye Hospital. His primary research interest is in the application of innovative technologies to deliver efficient, affordable, and accessible patient-centered healthcare, both at a systems level and at the point of care. With a clinical focus on vision and eye health, he has worked on establishing telehealth networks for eye care across rural regions of Taiwan and on developing diagnostic and surgical devices for treating orbital trauma in low-resource settings.In addition, Henry is passionate about medical education and improving the patient-clinician relationship through cultural competency, compassionate communication, and reflective practice. At the Stanford University School of Medicine, he has directed courses on healthcare leadership, digital health, and patient communication strategies around serious illness.
