Owner/President of Automation Creations, Inc.(ACI) in Blacksburg Virginia since 1996, responsible for day to day operations and strategic vision. We are custom software programmers who build specialized web-based applications and sites using .Net, Java, Python, PHP and ColdFusion. ACI has experience with Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL databases. We built and ran MatWeb.com, the largest Internet resource for material property data, spun off as MatWeb, LLC in 2011. We have also fielded several software packages, developer toolsets, and product websites. I enjoy getting to know our customers and helping them either bring their product to market, or improve an existing business process.I chaired the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and have been active on several boards, including the Technology Council, Montgomery County Educational Foundation, and past board member of New River Valley Friends of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. I am heavily involved in Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge and STEM outreach (science, technology, engineering and math) through a non-profit I helped found in 2012, the New River Robotics Association. I serve as the senior moderator for two Leadership Exchange Councils (LXCouncil), which is a peer-mentoring mastermind group of 8-12 company owners that meet monthly. We help company owners achievetheir potential through the creation of confidential peer advisory groups composed of noncompetingowners and leaders. I seek out potential robotics teams and help in their formation, and help with the fundraising needs. 100% of all funds raised go to students and robot parts & tools.
