For the past 20 plus years, I've managed a freelance career assisting clients with multimedia communications. The diversity of projects range from small personal projects, to larger recurring jobs, and I especially enjoy the challenge of solving problems and coming up with compelling ideas for clients. My mantra is “if you can imagine it, I can create it,” and I particularly become excited when I meet a potential client that expresses “we know we need a project, but we don’t know what it is yet.” That gives me the opportunity to propose some cost effective ideas, and work with them to develop ways to address the issues.

Freelance video directing, producing, and photography assignments with this public relations firm, serving architecture, interior design, and historic preservation clients. Projects include two award-winning short promotional films for the Woodlawn Cemetery, a National Historic Landmark in Bronx, New York. The films gleaned two new primary donors (Dalio Foundation and Altman Foundation) for the cemetery’s new masonry preservation and restoration internship program, a partnership with the World Monuments Fund. I’ve done just about every task related to the creation of multimedia at Ogilvy & Mather’s EyePatch Productions involving video, sound, photography, and live event production. I shot and edited digital video, mixed and recorded live sound, gaffed and gripped, built sets and props, coordinated operations, and lots more. One of the first assignments I completed, was to design and build a searchable keyword, time-coded database from of 50 years of transcribed film and video recording of founder David Ogilvy for the company's digital library. Additionally, I consulted on capturing, designing, and adding client’s online digital banners and graphics to the collection. When Ogilvy and Mather moved the worldwide corporate headquarters to a new location in New York City, I oversaw the packing and moving of the photography/video studio, creating a temporary production vehicle to help cover any needs during the transition. As a “self-contained camera crew,” I traveled solo to 11 cities across the United States shooting focus groups, and I’ve worked on multiple internal corporate communications, pitch projects, and client work for companies such as American Express, IBM, UPS, Ikea North America, Wachovia, Stolichnaya, TD Ameritrade, Hellmann’s Mayo, Motorola, Spiriva, Lever, and many more.

I've produced, directed, shot, and completed post for varied publications for Incisive Media, a B2B publisher. These projects include single and multi-camera productions, and I provided them with edited/encoded video ready for on line and interactive publishing.

Image Zone, a full-service multimedia and live events production company, specializes in branding, experiencial and viral marketing, sales development, conferences, webinars, interactive media prodcution, exhibit design, and program content. I assisted Peter Smallman, Image Zone’s creative director, and his business partner, Doug Ehrlich, director of operations with many tasks from researching, gathering, and managing materials for multimedia production, to daily business operations.TASKS• Organize and manage logistics for multimedia projects and live events• Research and secure photography, motion picture footage, and audio for production• Systemize media assets and images• Enlist and administer production crews• Collaborate with producers and directors in location scouting and casting• Complete licenses, letters of agreements, and contracts including SAG• Aid principals in the development of proposals for new projects• Shoot and edit photography, film, and video

As photographer and manager of photographic services at Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, (now named Union Presbyterian Seminary), I was a member of an award winning communications team. An integral part of the development staff, our department wrote, designed, and published multiple projects, including the school’s quarterly alumni magazine, biannual catalog, student/faculty directory, and recruiting/publicity materials. One of the biggest projects I participated in, was creating a set of materials that helped lead to a succesful multi-million dollar capital campaign.
