As Group Financial Controller, I was involved in many aspects of the business including:- working closely with the CEO, board and external advisors.- management of the Series A capital raising in 2016 and a subsequent pre-IPO raise in July 2017, including the preparation of management presentations, maintaining shareholder and prospective investor relations, keeping an up-to-date cap table and issuing of share certificates. - built finance function including recruitment and implementation of new systems.- taking appScatter from private to public and listing on the UK AIM in September 2017, raising £9m. - ongoing preparation of consolidated (multi-currency) monthly accounts and board pack.- built a fully integrated three statement (P&L, CF & BS) financial forecast model. - measuring the key SaaS metrics such as customer acquisition cost, lifetime value of the customer, monthly and annual recurring revenue.I continued consulting with the business on a monthly basis from Dec 2017 until March 2018.

The Group comprises three distinct entities, the largest of which is Fosroc - a construction chemicals and solutions business, acquired from BP in 2002. The other parts of the business comprise a direct investment portfolio based around luxury lifestyle and property and a regulated asset management business.My role sat within the Private Office which was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing all JMH Group Private Equity investments.Key areas of responsibility include:- day-to-day management of the Private Office for the family who own JMH Group (value > c.£1bn).- working closely with the CEO and board on strategic projects as well as providing independent analysis of investments cases for acquisitions, major industrial capital expenditure and organic market entry.- built a fully integrated three statement (P&L, CF & BS) financial forecast model. - financial/legal and commercial due diligence, advanced financial modelling and valuations on various acquisition targets- director of the JMH Group Lifestyle finance and operations. - managed the various property assets of the JMH Group.- maximise the profitability of existing JMH Group businesses.- liaise with external advisers.- trips to Dubai and Indonesia for board meetings and review potential investment opportunities.
