I lead three legal functions at LinkedIn: employment law, intellectual property, and corporate law. Our employment law team provides legal guidance on matters impacting our workforce and culture, advising on LinkedIn’s people initiatives and talent products to help power our business. Our intellectual property team safeguards and manages our innovations worldwide, protecting and optimizing the value of LinkedIn's patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and open source technologies. Our corporate law team manages our international entities and corporate governance, and leads all legal aspects of our M&A activities and strategic investments.I served as interim leader of LinkedIn's Litigation, Competition, and Enforcement team from October 2020 to March 2021, and currently serve as co-Executive Sponsor of the LinkedIn Asian Alliance (LIAA), LinkedIn's global employee resource group representing our diverse AAPI communities and allies at LinkedIn. I'm also the founder and Executive Sponsor of our Legal & Public Policy Team’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIBs) Committee.

Michelle Tam and I are the James Beard Award nominated creators of Nom Nom Paleo, a food brand known for our critically acclaimed recipe website, 2x Webby Award-winning iOS app, and 3 New York Times bestselling cookbooks.We started Nom Nom Paleo in 2010 with the launch of our food site, nomnompaleo.com. Three years later, we wrote our first cookbook, Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans (2013), which was named one of the best cookbooks of the year by The Wall Street Journal, Serious Eats, and America's Test Kitchen. Our second book, Ready or Not (2017) debuted at #1 on both The Wall Street Journal Bestseller's List and the Publishers Weekly Bestseller's List for Hardcover Nonfiction. As with our first two books, our latest cookbook, Nom Nom Paleo: Let's Go! (2022), debuted on the New York Times Best Sellers list.We've also developed a line of spice blends sold across the U.S. through Whole Foods Market stores, Amazon.com, iHerb, and The Spice Lab.

I regularly guest lectured at Stanford Law School's Organizations and Transactions Clinic and also keynoted the law school's Mills Legal Clinic Grand Rounds in 2021 and 2023.

As an in-house lawyer at Gap Inc., I directed employment law initiatives across the company's various brands and divisions around the world, including Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Forth & Towne, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix. Managing outside counsel and an in-house legal team, I also oversaw the investigation and defense of HR-related claims and employment litigation, ranging from administrative charges to class action lawsuits.In 2007, I led the creation of the Gap Inc. Legal Department's award-winning Diversity & Inclusion strategy and committee. I also architected the Department's Pro Bono & Pipeline strategy, and led its Pro Bono Committee for 3 years. In 2012, I was selected as one of the company's "First 35"—the 35 employees across the globe whose dedication to volunteerism represent Gap Foundation's first 35 years of community investment.

As a litigation associate in the Employment Law, Intellectual Property, and Complex Commercial Litigation practice groups, I represented companies in the technology, entertainment, finance, media, and retail sectors on a broad range of employment, IP, and appellate litigation matters.In 2001, I co-founded the firm’s Diversity Committee, which I co-chaired until 2003. In that role, I helped establish the firm's 1L Diversity Scholarship Program, which continues to award scholarship funds to underrepresented first-year law students.Previously: Summer Associate (Jun 1997 – Aug 1997; Aug 1998)
