I wrote a monthly column on trans-Tasman politics for The Age and Sydney Morning Herald.

Worked as a fulltime digital journalist covering national news for Fairfax Media. Broke agenda-setting stories such as the Alex Renton case and Chris Brown's immigration woes. I've also worked on breaking news coverage of national disasters, an in-depth investigation into alleged serious misconduct at a high school, narrative features, and on wider editorial strategy, including the creation of Stuff.co.nz's Snapchat account.

I worked for Fairfax Media in a variety of roles while at university, after being hired in my last week of high school, part time during term time and full time during the holidays. I wrote a popular blog about technology called F5, edited both a print and digital technology section, ran social media for Stuff.co.nz as part of a small three person team (day to day as well as contributing to strategy), and wrote captions for thousands of news photos.

The Asia NZ foundation funded a six week exchange at the Shanghai Daily. While there I covered adventure park openings, product launches, car colouring, and the future of China and New Zealand's economic relationship.

Wrote, researched, and edited a wide variety of articles, from in depth journalistic features to arts copy. Won the ASPA 2013 Award for Best Feature Writer.
