I have over 21 years’ experience as an employment lawyer and founded Doswell Law Solicitors in 2015. I provide one-on-one advice for individuals and a personal, tailor-made service for businesses.Having spent most of my career working for specialist employment law firms in the City and Canary Wharf I have the necessary combination of legal expertise and commercial awareness to protect and promote my clients’ interests. I advise businesses of all sizes from a variety of sectors, in particular SMEs and owner-managed businesses as well as providing day-to-day support to HR departments. I advised businesses on all areas of UK employment law with a particular focus on advising and supporting SMEs. Work undertaken included advising on grievances and disciplinary procedures, performance management processes, discrimination and the application of TUPE. I also reviewed and prepared the full range of employment documents including contracts and staff handbooks.

I also acted for individuals with a particular focus on negotiating their exit packages (including settlement agreements) and representing them at the employment tribunal.

I advised employers and individuals including senior executives on all areas of UK employment law with a particular emphasis on employment tribunal litigation.I regularly provided training to businesses on topical areas of employment law and HR through interactive workshops/seminars.

I trained across four different legal departments under industry recognised Partners in Employment/Civil Litigation; Company/Commercial; Commercial Property; and Family with the majority of my time being spent in Litigation and Company/Commercial.
