Being an independent director on the board of XSL, has allowed me to play a significant role at the Board / Audit Committee / CSR committee level and represent stakeholders in matters of corporate governance. Have been playing a more monitoring and advisory role in this regard. The role Involves attending Board and Audit Committee meetings once a quarter, reviewing the strategy and direction of the business, challenging the management in certain significant impact areas and representing the small stakeholders on the board, allowing the board to make independent judgments in these matters. Recently, been asked to also be represented on the respective boards of the US and Singapore branch companies

Focused on building relationships to enhance the quality of delivery. The first project being a very unique Indoor Sports Arena called XLR8, in Bangalore. We intend to build such centers in at least 10 cities in India and extend it over the region - Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia. Recently launched membership to the clubhouse (Balance-theclub), with very unique facilities. The obejctive is to build communities of people across various strata who are intersted in sport and being with family. A unique blend of Sport and entertainment. Establishing a network in the sports world and its exciting to meet so many diverse groups of people. Working together with a team to develop and launch the first of many resort project in various parts of India. This could develop into a chain of resorts offering time share to its members.

Helped to establish a Testing Services Practice for the company based in India, outsourcing work primarily from the UK. In addition, working to build an onsite presence in the UK , for the establishment of a base for the support of providing Learning management solutions to the UK and Europe markets.

Gurgaon, India

Began the offshore operations of Rebus Insurance Solutions in Nov. 2000 with two other staff. Involved in the initial building up of teams to provide transition support in bringing work offshore. Established the strucuture, process and support to ensure this operation grew from to 150 staff in a couple of years. Having been acquired globally by Xchanging, provided simultaneous transition of management support to the new teams, built the new brand image in the market and established business process services capability offshore. Was involved with building the structure, putting in place quality processes for ISO and CMM certification, building relationships within the company and externally, establishing credibility with the global operations to ensure the offshore operations met with the highest standards of delivery. Bangalore

Established the presence of the company in India through building the business from being just a liaison office to a fully owned subsidiary. Involved with business development, setting up of distribution network, establishing relationships with new partners and customers which provided significant growth to the business. Oversight to the company operations in South Asia, reporting back into the Regional Headquarters at Singapore.

Goa

Assisted with putting together strong processes and people to significantly establish the company presence in India. Had day to day management responsibility to ensure that the manufacturing setup in India made a significant contribution to the global vision of the company.Liaison with local government bodies for fulfilling statutory requirements, building consistent process for import - export procedures, establishing a framework within which the company could succeed in building a strong capability in India. Worked closely with the Managing Director to build the team in India and establish its brand and image in the market.

Mumbai

Began my career in Sales of office automation products - specifically in the business of adressing systems, credit card manufacturing and allied industry. Moved into an operations role for a short period, before gettting back to leading a sales team for one of the Mumbai divisions. Was invovled in the launch of several key products for the company -including MICR encoders, Note Counting Machines, Automated Credit card systems, Electronic Postal Weighing Systems. Was ultimately given charge of the Banking products division and helped establish the sales network and build capability around the sale of products that the company wished to supply into the banking industry.
