Henry D. Wolfe is Chairman of DaVega & Wolfe Industries Holdings. As an experienced non-executive chairman, takeover entrepreneur and activist investor, he has been a catalyst to unlock significant shareholder value and to improve the performance and competitiveness of a wide range of underperforming companies primarily via board and management restructuring and replacement. He has served on the boards of numerous companies including as Vice Chairman of Arctic Glacier Group Holdings Inc., and as Chairman of NLS Animal Health, All Seasons Ice, Sifco Industries, Inc., Riverview Holdings, Ready’s Ice Co. Inc., JHJ Inc., Furchgott’s, Inc., DaVega & Wolfe Ice & Petroleum Co. Inc. and City Ice & Fuel Co. Inc. He has also served as a board member of Advocate Strategic Investments and Outform Group Parent, Inc. Henry has been a prolific and contrarian writer on the subject of corporate governance with an emphasis on the board’s primary role of maximizing shareholder value. He is the author of the book Governance Arbitrage: Blowing Up the Public Company Governance Model to Maximize Long-Term Shareholder Value. Wolfe’s articles have been published in Institutional Investor's Journal of Private Equity, The Corporate Board, ValueWalk, The Conference Board Blog, Corporate Compliance Insights, Boardroom INSIDER and Directors & Boards. In addition, he has written chapters for the first and second editions of The Handbook of Board Governance. He has also been a guest lecturer at Harvard and the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University and a visiting professor at York University in Toronto.In Chicago, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Gateway Foundation and as a board member of The Red Orchid Theater. Previously, in South Carolina, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Florence Regional YMCA, Florence County Crime Stoppers and Cypress Point Owners Association and as a board member of numerous other non-profit organizations. Henry earned a BS with Honor in Zoology from Clemson University. While at Clemson, he was a member and captain of the Clemson Rugby team. In 1975 and 1976 he was selected as member of the State of South Carolina’s Select Side Touring Rugby team where he served as co-captain in 1976.
