Youthline Specialist
CurrentDesign and lead programs, instructional classes, and community events that create a sense of safety, community, and care for children and their families. Build strong connections with youth, families, local neighbors, and community organizations through outreach events, digital communications, social media campaigns, and friendly customer service. Identify youth enrichment opportunities for field trips, special events, and educational experiences and organize any travel, food, and ticket related affairs. Coordinate with other Youthline staff and MPRB employees to write grants for culturally relevant programming. Track youth participation and determine ways to increase youth turnout while providing necessary accommodations Position Highlights-Design varied youth activities based around gardening, bicycling, arts & crafts, and outdoor education. -Coordinate social media and digital marketing campaigns to increase youth and adult attendance in the park.-Engage youth and adult residents struggling with housing insecurity and substance abuse to connect them with free showers, food shelves, clothing drives, drug rehabilitation agencies, and other social services.-Conduct camping trips, bicycle tours, and community wide events to locations in Minneapolis’ downtown, Minnesota state parks, and the Elliot Park neighborhood.
