As a Medical Officer in the Maritime Reserves I provide operational capability and support activity alongside my regular job as an NHS General Practice specialty trainee. I have facilitated training exercises both in the UK and abroad, deployed as the medical lead on international expeditions, and provided medical cover at numerous Royal Navy (RN) sporting fixtures. I have also continued to represent the RN Rugby Union (RNRU) Senior XV in their Interservice matches.
