With 25 years of experience at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), he offers a unique knowledge of how the Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) carries out its regulatory responsibilities and insights into the scientific review process and how it impacts the registration decision procedure. He also enjoys excellent working relationships with many scientific professionals at OPP and knows whom to contact to resolve specific issues.Mr. Jacoby has more than 40 years of experience in assisting pesticide, insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, antimicrobial, wood preservation, and antifouling paint manufacturers and formulators in environmental science, government guidelines, evaluations, and analysis. Among the services he offers clients are reviewing scientific data for conformity to the data guidelines, advice for applicants for registrations, evaluation of pesticidal products, regulatory strategies (with emphasis on early market entry), submission of tolerance petitions, registration applications and amendments to existing registrations, and communication with EPA. He also provides expert testimony on registration policy and procedures, evaluates data requirements, and conducts data citation and compensation analysis. Previous to joining B&C, Mr. Jacoby spent 25 years within OPP as a Product Manager in the Registration Division; as a Scientific Policy and Coordination staff member in the Environmental Fate and Effects Division; and Branch Chief of the Environmental Fate and Ground Water Branch.
